Update...

I just wanted to tell you that I am still alive. Sorry I left without saying anything you guys have been good to me and that was really rude.

I am going to launch www.AllieWellington.com January 1, 2010. The site will still be more of who I am and where I am in my life right now. Less shit talking, more positivity, without being too frilly. I honestly think that you will like what I have in mind. It will be a place where you can come to be encouraged.

I don't want to tell you too much just know that I am working on getting things together so that I can focus on blogging first of the year.

Run This Town Video

After 50-11 trailers here is the Run This Town video from Jay ft Rihanna and Kayne. This is supposed to be the first single from Jay's new album.

I have always believed that a good video can make a mediocre song fabulous or a bad one can make an amazing song just OK.

When I first heard this song I loved the rock and roll beat and Rihanna's vocals (yep it shocked me too) but I thought if you took away those 2 things then it was just eh. Today I watched the video and I loved the entire song. Maybe I just needed to see Jay and Ye rap their parts?

My on again off again girlfriend in my mind is looking very luscious. I heard my other boo (in my mind) Amber Rose was supposed to be in there too but I didn't see her.

Take a peek and tell me what you think. I do agree w/ Necole Bitchie that the video is California Love 2009.

Keep Saying Yeeeaaah!

Today I am having a great day and then I see something on Twitter referring to Jeezy and Motivation 103. You know what that means right? New album!

Although my momma says that every Jeezy album sounds like 1 long continuous song, (She was forced to listen on a road trip) I am very excited.

Anyway according to the interview w/ Sway on MTV it seems that this album is going to go back to his old format of "Motivating the thugs." Peep the video below or check the link for more info.

That is what Hillary Clinton wants everybody to know.

In a meeting in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, a translator mistakenly asked her "What does Mr. Clinton think about it?" instead of President Obama.

Well Hillary had enough people tossing Bill in her face and replied:

"Wait, you want to know what my husband thinks? My husband is not the secretary of state - I am. [translation: "you betta recognize" -- AW] "You ask my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I'm not going to channel my husband.

What Is Good Hair?

That was the question I was asked by a friends uncle when I used the phrase "good hair" in convo. According to Dee's mother, "good hair is hair that is on your head."

Chris Rock's new movie 'Good Hair' is soon to be released and from the looks of the trailer it is a movie that investigates the stress and frustration that hair gives black women. The reviews tout the movie as being "Hilarious" but like most things with Chris Rock (favorite comedian) there is a deeper message.

Recently I have become fed up all the time (ridiculous amounts) and effort that I spend trying to "make my hair do things it isn't supposed to" as my mother so simply put it last night. A few months ago I cut it short for the first time in my life to erase my own belief that having long hair was apart of my identity/beauty. These past few weeks I have decided that I will cut out the relaxed portion and just go natural once I get a little more new growth.

I texted my stylist to ask her if I needed to get a barber. She immediately asked me "What's wrong?" I told her there is nothing bad going on in my life I am just "tired." She didn't write back so barber it is.
